'Why use ICT in today's classroom.'

 

Hello and welcome to Wix.  I created this web site to provide all of my year 3 parents and caregivers with a better understanding of why it is important for our class to incorporate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into our daily lesson plans.  I want to demonstrate to you all the educational value of using ICT and how much fun it can be.  With a good imagination along with a little guidance, students will have the opportunity to participate in effective, informative and educational lessons which encompasses ICT.

 

I hope to demonstrate the full potential of using ICT including how and why it will be used in our classroom by providing you with useful information along the way .  Along with how it can improve a child's learning abilities and skills.  I have chosen three key areas to help provide this information, Education, Connection and Progression.  You will see tabs at the top of this page aptly named of the three categories, please click on each tab and take a look at the information provided.

 

You will find links along the way.  These have been provided to help save you time.  I realise your time is precious and by providing these links to resourceful sites I am hoping to save you the time of searching for further information.  I have also included a short survey that I am hoping you will take the time to complete once you have browsed over this site.  This will allow me to gain a better understanding and insight into how you feel about ICT both in and out of the classroom.
